Profile

Kian is passionate about leveraging psychological science and the study of human behavior to help organizations make better business decisions. He has helped to establish people and data science as core capabilities and developed ways to engage and drive greater alignment for Vee’s clients and internal teams. He’s developed and launched key strategic initiatives, methodologies, processes and tools, and established best practices for existing and future capabilities. He leverages his training and skills, and draws from external research and best practices, to further develop our proprietary methodology for assessing organizations and individuals by adding scientific rigor through the application of organization behavior theory to solve problems in organization and talent assessment and alignment. He plays a key role in making People Science actionable, from consulting with business stakeholders across Vee’s and client organizations, to designing research projects tied to business objectives, running advanced analyses and modeling relationships between variables of interest, and delivering insights that drive action.

Professional Background

His prior experience was as an Associate Management Consultant at E. Rogers Associates, where he developed and implemented multi-source feedback assessments to support the needs of clients, including Pepsico, in employee development; and assisted in the delivery of leadership development programs, including data analysis and coaching. He also administered licensed Korn Ferry products including KFALP to identify and coach high potentials.

Education

Kian holds an MA in Experimental Psychology and a BA in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz. He will complete the Applied Organization Psychology PhD program at Hofstra University, where he has served as Adjunct Professor of Statistics, this May, and defended his dissertation proposal around defining gamification in the workplace.
